EZ Ryde coupling product

Any more information/reviews on this product?

I am very interested in what it can do for a stock 2013 APex xtx with a 250lb rider.

A little articulation in the rear could be exactly what the doctor ordered.

I took a demo ride @ Eagle River. Helo and Trail were on 129 Yamahas I think. Took the Helo out and Trail back. Personally, I thought the Helo was not that much different than what I have [11 Gade X] but the Trail was completely different. Thought it was the smoothest ride I have ever been on. Trails were icy with stutter bumps and just a couple of biggies. I really would consider the trail system but it is expensive. I think they said $2700, but it was really a good ride. BTW, I'm mechanically "declined" so don't ask me about the workings. I'm the same with my computer, if it turns on, I'm happy, but if it doesn't work, I'm lost. Rev

Forgot to mention that with the Trail system, you loose a lot of weight which is what I was looking for as my Gade X is a 1200. Think they said 25 pounds but don't really remember. Rev

doesn't your ski-doo have T motion and naturally articulate? so i wouldn't think there would be that much difference to begin with. i think for a Yamaha skid there would be a major change. I've kinda sold myself but i dont want to be a guinea pig. I just cant find any reviews...

It is the Doo T-Motion that articulates, the R-Motion does not. This HELO seems like an interesting product but the price is a bit high.

thank you for the correction. i'm not the best with anything non yamaha :/

for my rear skid Apex XTX there is a star suspension upgrade that gives 1.5 more travel less bottoming out etc etc... its price is $300. installation takes QUITE longer than the half hour quoted by PATs Yamaha to install the HELO

the helo is around $500 installed and could possible cure the same issues as the star kit. with added side to side motion.

what is it like at higher speed on a packed trail ? the T motion has not had the best reviews in that category

if high speed trail stability is compromised at all I am completely OUT for the HELO

just talked to ez-ryde I fired off 21 questions and got a solid answer on everything.

its sounds like its a dream product for an apex xtx rear skid.

if they have one available and I can snag one Monday morning i will have 1200 miles on it by next weekend...

updates to come...

I have a 2011 Yamaha XTX all stock with the exception of clutching with the HELO installed and my overall all impressions are great.

About me, I’m 6’1” and weigh 300 lbs and I am an aggressive rider. I typically ride about 100-200 miles each time I am out in all conditions.

The HELO weight transfer is awesome! To sum it is up is TTC (total traction control) coming out of the hole or corner to corner the sled really pulls hard and accelerates and still feels like the same handling characteristics that I can tell.

There is some additional damping however I still bottom out. (hard not too at 300lbs). The sled really works well in the wash-outs now I need to would on the front shocks damping.

I feel it’s a win for EZ-RYDE.

I need some more miles for a full review but on a stock apex xtx 2013 it's unreal. Just beat the crap out of it for 200 miles. Will report back when I learn more.

1000 miles on the helo.

Writing the full review now.

Buy it. For around $500 -$600 installed depending on your skid it really helps. Only have time for a couple quick sentences right now.

Stutter bumps like 1000's of one footers, Those are now gone at speed.
Really nice for bottoming out... Yes it still sucks to bottom out but not longer are you jarred on your spine. You get a little rubber bump stop.
Help weight transfer from side when in the trail. Easier to turn with leaning.

Top speed runs. --- no difference beside more traction getting up to speed. Had it at 110 - 115 and it was doing just fine for stability.

One con that is part of being the Gueina pig... Just need to set sled up accordingly. on an apex xtx skid the part that this replaces was partly responsible for applying more ski pressure. I suggest on the Alex xtx skid to adjust the limiter strap to favor more ski pressure when this unit is installed. Much more in depth details soon.

Yes it really takes time off in the 1000'. Much much more traction especially in the apex xtx skid. Now I can feel the true tq of the engine. Especially at 40 when I nail it.

Has anyone experienced what this will do for an 08/09 ski doo renegade? I want my 08 renegade to handle like the newer renegades with the t motion without having to invest huge in a new sled or suspension. The 08 tracks flat and doesn't want to lean without a fight. I am 175# so I have to wrestle it to lay it over, really would like a little flex.
