I can't speak to this exact sled, but I have found hyfax will wear in certain spots more than others, but it reaches a point and doesn't go much further, provided you ride good snow. If it were me, I would watch it this year and I'm guessing it won't wear much further in that spot. 1000 miles is way to soon to need hyfax.
