Failure rate.

I am not sure why people are so down on Teachers. It just seems like it is OK to say teachers are so bad. I can tell you this, it is one job you could not pay me enough to do.

X2. Granted, not all are good (as with any job) but still....hat's off to those that do it well. I couldn't.

Some failures are more or less acceptable then others, such as a heart surgeon vs a drive thru window jockey who forgot your straw.

I agree and the key word is failure. Some occupations such as weatherman has a significant higher failure rate because of the "prediction" element. This element is inherent in the field and the weatherman ought not to be blamed but rather the listener putting to much faith in a prediction. People who bet on professional games are similar. Variables are present and consistency drops with more variables. JohnDee is better than most at what he does because he adds a powerful variable such as love of snow and playing in da snow. I honestly believe that is what gives JD the advantage over the rest as it seems evident in the accuracy of the forecasts!

Weather man has to be a real tough job in the great lakes area for sure.
I'm more thinking jobs such as air traffic controllers, nuclear power plant operators or people who watch over and manage retirement accounts.
