Fall Colors!

Can anybody tell me what the fall foliage is like in the UP? Was thinking about the 10th-11th or 11th-12th for peak. Is that too late or not?
With the warmer weather this year, it seems a little later this year for colors.

My son and I are going to the U.P. Oct. 11-13. Hopefully colors aren't to far past peak.

I live a bit outside of LL and was in Copper Harbor yesterda. Colors are changing and I’d say we are a week or 10 days out from peak but ya never know. My place has more green than color now

Slowest turn of color that I can remember. Exceptionally warm through Sept, no night time cold & no frost yet. Considering how dry we have been here, it is amazing to see how much green has hung on. Considering the current weather trends, I am thinking peak here in the Keweenaw is probably going to be Mid-October. This weather pattern has been strange for the past year plus, it will be interesting to see what is yet to come.

Thanks to everyone. Guess we'll plan on the 10th-11th to see the show. Should be pretty close. Planning on taking the trike as long as the weather is in the 60's.

Vilas County has had a week of color movement, I would say we are going to be full on around the 15th. Not much rain in sight so they should hold for awhile.

October 6th, I would say we are getting near full color in Presque Isle Wisconsin but the brutal wind the last couple of days have taken a lot of the leaves down. Something strange is that I have two maples that are about twenty feet apart and one is full yellow/orange and the other is still pretty much green. Lake level down about a foot from a month ago but we did get a good downpour and thunderstorm last night.

I don't have pictures but the colors on the north shore are probably about peak right now. The problem with that is so are the tourists. There had to be 250-300 cars at the trailhead to Bean and Bear Lake in Silver Bay. The hiking trail would be as crowded as a NYC sidewalk. Up at Lutsen they were saying it was an hour wait just to buy tickets for the Gondola ride to the top and then 2 hr wait to get on the Gondola.
My wife ran into Duluth on Saturday and said traffic was backed up south of Two Harbors for about a mile and then when she came back later in the day it was backed up north of two harbors well past Betty's pies and almost to Silver Creek Cliff/Tunnel, about 3.5 miles. Luckily she was going the opposite direction.
