That is cool! Thanks for sharing. I knew Lenny participated in this, but didn't know he'd be in their marketing. Very cool! They saved the best comment for last.

wow, I'd never seen that till now. Thanks for posting this t660redrocket

The track and ski's really did change the nature of this beast just as the 2.25 power claw cat track changed my mtn max, along with some Simmons skis. This xtx will do 90% of what I like to do but in the steep and deep up in the trees is where the power to weight ratio rears it's ugly head, with the weight being the downside but so much better that I would have ever expected. We did stick these machines in the deep and buried them but was impressed just how well they did for being a 4 stroke with e.start and reverse, no 2s oil machine. I'd love to have one as an all around machine and keep the Max for all out thrashing in the woods. I know many see this machine as the "same old" but it has the torque to turn this back country track which really changes the dynamics drastically. The bar has certainly been raised now with this performance 4s, track and skis. Typical quality Yamaha machine in a crossover doing most everything very well, I want one.

Yea thanks for posting guys. I hadn't seen that one either. Was fun to ride the 4 strokers and with all them guys for 2 days, bunch of good guys. Big thanks to Kip and the Pats Yamaha crew in Greenland, MI for putting it all together. There's another version of it on snowtraxtv.com also, episode 12 i think. Bottom line, you wanna sell sleds, put Lenny in your commercials!! ;)

Well being a die hard yammie guy from way back I just laugh at the idea that any 4 stroke is good for off trail. Simply putting new skis and a 1.75" track on it isn't going to make it into an off trail sled period. Yes I have ridden them and people have had 1.75" lugs on Nytros for years now and they are still too heavy in the congested areas! Simply put they need a 100 lbs of weight shaved off them!! Sure in deep powder you can power up on top but as soon as you need to negotiate around some tight stuff the front end plows like a battleship and it's all over! I personally think they make the best trail sleds hands down but that as far as they go! 2 strokes will always rule the woods plain and simple.

I was lucky enough to join Lenny, Dan, and Paul for those two days. I'm the ugly fat guy. What an awesome experience. Have to agree with Dan, with the BIG thanks to Kip at Pat's Yamaha for the chance to do that! Also, Luke and the camera crew from snowtrax tv, what awesome people!! We are on snowtraxtv.com episode 12 too. Took a while to get used to the rider fwd on the Nytro vs my "M", but by day two felt much more comfortable on it. If I were a "mostly trail" and a "little off trail" I would highly consider that sled, and holy cow what a pleasure to ride the bumpy trail compared to the M chassis!!!!! Needs a mountain handle bar strap bad tho! And will have to admit was really pumped to ride the "all new yamaha nytro" and was a little bummed when we saw no ergonomic/body changes, but the new ski and track really do make that sled handle significantly better!

yup. I actually felt the seat was perfect for me. The spot I naturally fit in was a perfect match with my legs in relation to the plastic body. I rode a 2012 cat 1100 and the seat pushed me forward and my knees were hitting but not on the xtx. The tunnel has the miter at the top which is good for the sides of your calfs and nice wide boards.

I wouldnt laugh at the off trail performance because it's much better than we all expected. Off trail encompasses a wide variety of styles and it is capable for much of it but yes,,, you are correct, it gets 4th place for off trail because I like to ride in tight areas.

The main reason I love this sled is because I often ride by myself. Early season I ride trail and ride a 1991 2s and miss all the comforts of the 4s. When the snow is deep and I am still riding by myself I could go everywhere except the tight tree areas with this xtx so I really could utilize sled and have the realibility and comfort of a proven 4s. The other 3 4s do not have the reputation of the yamaha's, IMO, yet

That was a cool commercial, what a great marketing tool! Use some local guys, that everyone has met from now and then, and plaster them all over YouTube! I will say dhealy8, in that commercial, you definitely didn't ride that machine like you ride your RMK!!! There were no trees knocked down!:)
