Our dog Duke died last night found a lump 5 days ago seemed healthy too went down hill fast. Kept his tail wagging until his last breath. He was the most loving dog we ever had. duke.jpg

Sorry to read this news about Duke. This kind of cancer spreads very quickly, and almost can't be cured. I had a past Dobe who had a "fatty tumor" for years and turned to cancer overnight. Spread like wildfire. As a result, I had all the fatty tumors removed from our other Dobe before they had a chance to turn.
Remember the good times Duke brought you, he will be in your heart forever.

Thanks everyone It's hard to believe a week ago he was running around like nothing was wrong. Luckily my mother in law came up from P.A. this week and she owns a Vet clinic. So we brought him up to the copper country veterinary vet clinic (very nice people) to get x rays done just to see how bad it was and do some test. Well after that we knew it was bad. So we spoiled him for the rest of the time and kept him comfortable. Then last night it was like he waited for the kids went to bed and he went and laid in the bathroom which was weird so I brought a blanket in the bathroom and the wife and I laid with him for about 30 min then he past away.

I'm so sorry for your loss and these stories just tear at my heart! What a beautiful dog! What was his breed? Looks like he maybe had some pit bull in him? We have a pit/boxer mix and looks similar. Best dog we have ever had by far!!

May you find comfort in your memories!
