Wife power washed the house today. I scheduled to have the boat launched. Set up picking up sled from Momsmotorsports and moving to storage. Getting motorcycles out of storage tomorrow. still looking at dog poo in yard, to wet to rake it up yet. Seen tons of motorcyles out and a convertable Sebring with the top down. Sixty four degree and suppose to stay. Hope the boys have fun at Togwotee/Jackson hill climb. I actually am going to miss this trip. 1st time in 5 yrs., See ya next yr. Carter.

Just a tip: Don't title thread "fat lady has sung" and then open your post talking about your wife.... :)

I agree with ya on the snow though. As much as I would love to go riding again and I am hoping against all odd's that the UP gets one more monster dump, it was nice riding in the truck yesterday with the window down and jamming to the radio....

Yep, done crying, getting excited to go 4 wheeling, dirt biking, and boating in a few months. It appears the voles/moles had a good winter in my yard, lol

Fogged the sleds yesterday.

Charged the boat batteries over the weekend.

Going to fish for walleye on Saturday morning. The ice has moved out from shore. The spring jig should be hot at this time! Can have a limit in 10 minutes if we're on fish.

I was laughing so hard @ Joe I scared the dog.

Took ride on the Harley today. Sleds will be summerized over spring break. No boat launch date for the 32' yet...not ready to think about Lk Mi boating just yet! Still can't wrap my brain around no more snowmobiling! I can stare at that trail cam all I want but it ain't gonna make it snow for the spring break trip I wanted to take!

Jeepers, Ice on our lakes will be there for a few more weeks.

Come on over to the western basin of Lake Erie. The ice has been on longer this year than last year. The wind is severe in these here parts :) When we get a good south or southwest wind in early spring the ice usually blows away. However, when a good Noreaster blows she comes right back. That happened earlier this week. The lake should be fishable now. I wish I didn't have to work!

boat goes in April 8th for me. Ice is all melted in my slip and connecting river to Lake MI. That's all I need.

Do you do any salmon fishing over there? I saw on another post of yours that you're out of Grand Haven? We did a charter there a couple of years ago with a guy named Doug. He had a Cherokee boat and he's part of the MI steelheaders.

I've been contemplating on trailering over there myself for those salmon.

Poo picked out of yard, sleds facing the garage door, trailer bearings greased, still waiting for the last storm. Dream killer!!!!!

Remaining Optimistic

Even though my hope for an epic dumping here in the Northwoods may be futile, I am still a firm believer that we still have that chance, like in April of 2007. Despite that, I am thinking about loading the sled tomorrow morning & head North about 20 miles to join some friends for a backwoods ride. There is still enough to be reasonably safe, I'm just not sure if I feel like going through the hassle, we'll see. Here is to still hoping for the BIG DUMP!-Mezz

Mezz, what hassle? Loading your sled and driving 20 miles? C'mon man, I just put on 500 miles on my truck to do the same thing! LOL.

Skylar, what can I say, besides that I'm spoiled being able to ride from the front door, usually. That & it's not right for us to have 2 broken winters in a row. Just a tad depressing,:( though, I will more than likely grab the little trailer & get out for a few hours, just in case that noise I am hearing is really the fat lady beginning to sing as she is sticking a fork in it ready to call it done. Really missing the "usual" winters here, more so after a trip to Tog & the snow they had, I should say-have, it's almost discouraging. Signed: Spoiled In Da Keweenaw.

The fat lady sung, the fat man sung, the skinny lady sung, the skinny man sung, hack the Vienna boys choir has sung. Took two of mine to the shop for work and summerizing. Started working on a third. Already think about trips for next year. Maybe a circle tour or the Black Hills.
