Finally, a garage

Well, since we moved fulltime to the cabin one of my plans was to build a garage. Started clearing the spot in July but due to permit issues couldn't actually get the guy in to do the site prep until early Sept and then had concrete poured mid Sept and had the material delivered late Sept. Six straight weekends of work, some of which I had friends helping out and we wrapped it up this weekend. Still don't have power yet but we managed to get all the stuff we'd been storing in the snowmobile trailer moved into it and put sleds back in the trailer. Hope to get power ran to it soon and then I can wire up the inside. I should've built this 18 yrs ago when we built the cabin. shed 13.jpg garage 1.jpg shed 11.jpg shed 12.jpg

Very nice, and just in time! What is sq ft?
Its not very big, just 24x36. Funny enough its the same footprint as the cabin. Would've liked to go bigger but my wife kept reminding me this is just the cabin and not our long term destination. So once we figure out where the long term destination is it'll be perfect size for a cabin. And when we built the cabin we didn't site it well to plan for this so we were kind of limited.
But we have dodged a bullet with the weather this fall. First fall where I was hoping for warm weather and no snow. Now it can snow like crazy. Supposed to get potentially 3"+ of rain tomorrow into Wednesday.

Looking good! Is that a crew cab 6.75’ bed? I have a 24x36 attached garage and have been considering going 3/4 ton but was concerned how well it’d fit

Yes it is. I was a little concerned also about it fitting because in a pole building style 24' deep is really only 22'9" deep and then the garage door takes up a couple more inches. If your garage is a stick built it'll fit with no issue. I think according to Ford specs a F350, and I'd assume a F250, is 20'6" long. Another thing to think about though is door height. Our previous house had a 7' high door and we squeezed in by about 1/2-1". I made sure on this one I put in 8' high doors (just for when I put the 37" tires on) :)
