Well they told me I was the first today when I stopped for a bite to eat, maybe someone else beat me to it! Anyway, rode 107 miles today from Mass around here, up to Houghton, Red Ridge Dam, and back home. It's official, the season has begun. Cut trail all the way. There were a few four wheeler tracks, some truck tracks, but no other sleds out on the trails. Might try the Freda Loop tommorow.

no to freada loop

It is offical, riding has begun, guests are checked in and have been riding since yesterday. We recieved easily a foot of snow and they say more is on it's way! But I highly recommend not doing the s. freada loop, waaay to swampy yet. A few of the ranger riders were out as well as the patrol officer, they highly reccomended I pass this info on. Be safe wish I had started my paint job a month ago other wise I would have taken a burn out on the fresh snow! The hillside by the cabins is full of tracks some were attemped sets : ). Please don't try the BFH yet either, be safe have fun!

Yeah.

We are heading up on Monday.

What are you doing for a paint job this year? I really liked the look last year.

Hey Skylar if doospuk wouldn't have guessed it I was going to give another clue "chainsaw". I think I still have a lump on my head from the last tree he felled.

Going out with Richard Sunday morning to reroute trail 13 for about 6.2 miles due to logging issues. Think Snow!

The snow surprised me. Just happened to be making a sled pickup/delivery circuit - I left Illinois on Thurday am, picked up my new Rev in Mn on Thursday afternoon and got to Krupps about 10 pm. Ran into a lot of heavy snowfall on the way. I had to leave Twin lakes Friday morming to drop another sled off in Houghton and be in Milwaukee by Friday afternoon. I even brought my riding gear along but didn't get time to ride. Did over a 1000 miles in the 2 days but none on the new sled -bummer!!

Skylar - My new sled is a Rev XP platform with 600 HO E-TEC. All black - looks good. Track is 137x15x1.25-ski stance 42.4. The other sled I was hauling in the Krupp photo was a Rev Backcountry X with track 137x16x1.75- ski stance 40.1. I decided to go with the XP because 80% of the time I'm riding with my trail banger friends. I think I'll like it - I'll be doing some riding in Minnesota next week during Christmas break and will get to try it out.
