Sounds like you are going to actually use the garage for work vs a "man cave" since you are putting in a hoist?
Drywall gets dirty very easy and is a PIA to clean. Maybe consider metal panels?

Anyway nice place. Way to keep the woman happy and still get what you want.

Thanks. As for the drywall. I won't be torching or welding or anything. Got my business shop in town for the dirty jobs. I didn't want to go metal because of noise.

Good choice - be sure to wire in LOTS of lights!
