I've had several Floe trailers,all open.never had any problems. they are a quality unit. I,too,am looking at new trailers. the best price I can find on a new 12ft,drive in/out gull wing doors Floe is $5800. OUCH. now I'm looking at regular enclosed trailers from Triton,RNR,and Mission. should cost about 1500 more than the Floe.
I dont have one but my cuz has a 5 0r 6 yr old flow with a protector.all I can say is 2 times the top was a real PITA to close.like 2 hrs on a lake chipping ice off the deck so the top would close.I have a triton and have never had a prob closing the top.I keep my trailers about 4 yrs before any probs start so I cant say how long a triton will last befor probs but I ame on yr 4 on my trailer and still perfect shape may keep a few more years
I have a 12ft DO/DO but w/o the top since the price for the trailer alone was high altho now in retrospect I wish I would have done it since since my initial pricing these tops have really risen greatly in cost, the other reason is we already had a 7x27 enclosed, so we did not need 2 enclosed trailers. 5800 for my trailer right now is pretty pricey, heck I only paid approx 1500 more for my 7x27 altho that was in 2002 and I hate to see the prices now, so I guess I won't sell my enclosed anytime, well I disgress.
I have been pretty happy with this trailer especially with the larger tires. I was skeptical about the oil hubs but they have not been an issue. I would definately by another Floe.The Versa-track works pretty well as this is my first trailer with this feature. As for the cap I'm going to look into a canvas one, I think SnoCaps was a name especially since I still do not want a full-time enclosure

racer rx wate till you price a snocap you will go back to saying well I guess 1 coverd wagon is good.and the sno cap is no ez remove the frame is welded to trailer if you have them do it or bolted for the home kit.the doors are kinda micky mouse thay use boat cover cover center post kind of thing to hold door up.and if windy you have to hold the poll so door wont bend hinge.best part is if you have one on a 10 ft trailer and buy a new m8 with a 162 thay can sew a pocket in the rear flap to fit the tail of your sled.looks funny but works.yeah I know a guy who has that long track pocket.he has had that top for over 9 yrs still holding up well.I think it was cats 07 catalog thay had a cheep trailer cover well it was spendy from cat like 650 but manufacture was selling them on e bay for around 400 I think thay were called motorport thay were quonset hut shaped
ezra..so even a Snocap is pricey? I really do not trailer much since the sleds stay up north but just looking for something for the occasional use as 2 years ago I had to trailer from St Germain to Lando in the rain and I forgot my cover and spent days cleaning the crap off. So what does your buddy have to say about the snocap? I would be doing the home install so I could remove it.
