Fogging Up - What'swrong with me?

Do you have the breath box seated properly on the BVS helmet and have you made sure the electric shield is working properly just thinking if you use the same cable on both helmets maybe a cable problem

Very important. I discovered with mine that in trying to get a good seal, I was actually tightening it too much and distorting the intake valve. As a result, my exhaled breath was also escaping out of the intake valves and into the helmet.
ive found that fogging up actually has more to do sometimes with your body over heating? do you sweat when you ride? if your over dressed and getting a bit warm, ill fog right up
Definitely. And if you have to do any type of exertion that may cause you to sweat (getting unstuck, unloading, etc.), consider taking the helmet off and quite possibly your coat too. Sweating is not the BV2S's friend.

I got away from thr TXI/electric shield combo and went to the BVS2 without an electric shield and my fogging problems are gone. FWIW i don't use the puss pads it came with.......
BVS2 a very good hat...make sure you are sealed to your face no cloth in between. You also must have hot head, need less layers or head gear way too warm... need something lighter, turn hand warmers down helps me a lot don't get over 1/2 or whole bod gets too warm. Keep vents open you need air flow thru the hat to exit moisture. Try with & without electric visor you should not need it once you get your head & bod temp regulated.

X2 on all of the above. Gotta let your body heat out somewhere other than right up under your chin, and you gotta get your exhaled air out of the helmet by way of the breath box being seated. If you're trying to wear a balaclava under your breath box, it won't work. The breath box needs to fit snug to your skin.
My fogging problem in the BV2S (including my glasses) went away when I stopped wearing a balaclava and went with just a neckie
Yep. I've found the BV2S to be so warm I rarely need a balaclava. Only when it's REALLY cold (like single digits or below) do I consider wearing one and even then it's not a thick one.
I've had the Doo EXO Scorpian and BVS2 helmets both with electric visors and fog up more thn 50% of the time. Looking for a helmet that will not fog up. Does such a helmet exist?
I don't think there is anything wrong with you. We will all experience a degree of difference when it comes to fogging/not fogging. I believe you may be overdressed and heating up a bit. The fogging is from sweat. As soon as that sweat absorbs and accumulates into your hair, helmet padding, foam, balaclava material, etc. It will increase the moisture/humidity in the airspace within your helmet. Thus form as fog on your shield on the inside. Manage your body temp better and ride a bit on the cool side.

All 3 of us in my family wear glasses, so we have had our share of issues. We have found that if we take out the breath deflector and use the electric shield.we have no issues. My glasses will on occasion fog up at a prolonged stop if I do not lift the shield a crack. Clears right up as soon as I move.
