I would really like to see it played, all 17 strings worth. It's cool nonetheless, but, even cooler seeing it & hearing it. I can only imagine if Eddie Van Halen or Prince for that matter were still around, it would be something to see either of them give it a rip.

Upon further research this is what I found out, this was played on stage at a ZZ Top concert, it’s a 17 string bass, it has a fender logo up by the neck, see below

I can’t see much use for a guitar with 17 strings. Maybe to custom tune for a particular song but could do the same with multi tuned guitars. Neat and crazy both. Lol.
