Remembrance Day ....commemorates the sacrifices that Canadians made in armed conflicts, including World Wars I and II and other wars. And I thank the ones that are still with us every chance i get god bless them all.

From legion halls and hockey arenas to outdoor cenotaphs, Northwestern Ontario residents will gather today on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month to pay homage to the men and women who served and sacrificed in the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War and Gulf War.

However, Remembrance Day ceremonies in the Northwest not only honour those who served in world conflicts but also the war against terrorism in Afghanistan
