Fox float shocks

so I was going through the Crosstour I had purchased this weekend and noticed that there are no rear suspension springs to speak of with exception to front coil over shock. The rear shock is a Fox Float shock and has an air fitting on it. This is the first time I had ever seen one of these, they are quite expensive looking them up, any input on these would be greatly appreciated, just seems odd that one shock would dop what a shock and 2 adjustable springs would do.

One thing that I have heard of being an issue with the rear fox float air is that if it happens to lose the seal, you will be low riding the entire way back to the trailer. I struggled to get good setup with my floats in the front because if you go soft for comfort they will bottom out, and firmer will lead to pogo sticks. This can be easily solved by adding the EVOL reservoir though.

got a buddy in shock biz, I will ask him about adding reservoir
Was happy with mine on my 2015 ZR9000 on the front. I have had no problems with them, other than one bad schrader valve. Only happened one time and has to be a FOX replacement. The dealer did not have any in stock but took one off of a new sled for me.

I had a 2015 Yamaha XTX with them, it was tough getting them set right. It taught me I like coil over shocks…
I think the XTX's were the most common trim that I read dislikes with the shocks. Maybe something to do with the longer track length and weight distribution.
