I was told by one of the local sledders @ Krupp's last year that it most likely won't be re-openedI apologize if this has been addressed this year but has there been any change on reopening the Freda loop?
Thanks! Very good info!Still temporarily closed, unknown open date. Rumor has it the plan to work on the $Bay - Lake Linden Trail 2023?

that's really good news! and agree on the alleviation of traffic, always preferred the Freda loop over just going in a straight line, really liked how it twisted through the woodsGuy who runs one of the UP sledding pages on FB, who is a groomer for KTS, says he has heard the Freda loop is planned and next up after 3 is fixed.
Seems like the info on the Freda loop is all over the place. Would be a god-send to get some sled traffic pressure off of 3 north of H/H. Riding 3 between H/H and Twin Lakes has become pretty hellish. I’m damn near to the point of trailering to avoid it if I want to ride on the other end of wherever I’m staying, but maybe I’m a weenie.
Then there was that brief few days a month or so ago where “trail 109 will be open again!!!” back to “whoops, maybe not”. Haven’t heard much more there.
As to trail 109, there will never be any kind of a "FIX" to it, unless they get it away from the Bum Baraga No Groomers! Period!Guy who runs one of the UP sledding pages on FB, who is a groomer for KTS, says he has heard the Freda loop is planned and next up after 3 is fixed.
