Front torque arm

Has anyone had this front torque arm break? I have a 2006 polaris FST and it broke at the top and is started to break at the bottom. I have ordered the part, but now I am concerned about the track, in which some of the middle teeth are damaged- I really do not want to replace the track $$.
Is this torque on recall?

You can just weld the torque arms. They break pretty easily. Have you kept it greased? On a sled that new, a new track is worth it.

I broke this once on an Edge sled, but I don't think much has changed with Poo's rear suspension. So I think it is fairly common. Plus my shocks were needed rebuild, so it probably was my fault. Mine didn't seem to be weldable, so the part was around $80.

I think that was the only thing that every broke on that sled - those Edge chassis sleds were very well built and solid.

I had the front one break on my 01 with the polaris m-10, I had a friend weld it up and reinforce it. 5000 miles later and it is good as new. As far as the track goes its a judgment call, if your an easy trail cruiser it will probably be ok, if your a trial pounder you may want to change it. If you check around there may be some used ones out there cheap.
