Fun comparison

2015 Ski Doo summit 800 and a 1971 Rupp 440 wide track. Both considered to be deep snow sleds in their day. I took the Pics on the same trailer this summer for size comparison.

It is a little bit funny. Back then the theory was that wide was good. They were using less than one inch tracks. This was forty years ago. Cut them some slack.

wait....you guys thought i called the Rupp the "modern day monster"?....that would be silly....besides...i bet a 100# has rusted off that Rupp by now....lol

Remember when Yamaha went from a 15" track to an 18" with a promise for more stability. the things tipped over all the time.
