Gauntlet fastening

Not sure how you can fool proof the fabric gauntlets from creating a possible throttle blip. Just need to be conscious of your set up you choose to ride with.

Looked on Klim site didn't see gauntlets, maybe I am referring to them incorrectly, will look more into using the automotive push dart type fasteners, not heading up till mid feb so have lots of time to hopefully get something figured out. Thank you again everyone for input.
Klim does use the push dart style but they are much larger than the Polaris ones and the pins and gauntlets are both more flexible so they are less prone causing the pins to break. They still hold there shape but don’t limit movement.

Do those work well with the factory handlebar hooks?

I need something, my finger tips have been frostbitten to many times and I cannot keep them warm on the cold days. I was planning on buying the full gauntlets but am concerned about moving my hands in and out of the gauntlets, and also on the warm days removing them so my hands don't sweat.

sweeperguy, THANKS! I am going to definitely give these a try, look very similar to the powermadd ones xcr440 posted about however don't know how open they will stay unless used in conjunction with rigid hand guards and these look like they will, I will be ordering a couple sets of these. Thank you again for your input!

Cold Guards stay open just fine. However they can rotate, a little, if not really tight to the bar. Cold Guard offers an anti-rotation device.

Or, with a little creativity, they can be used in conjunction with hand guards. Keeps them solid as a rock.

I leave them on permanently.
Easy in, easy out, do not get in the way even when standing.
Can be bumped and then returns of original shape.
Not as warm as standard fuzzy, tight fitting gauntlets. However, we have road all day at -10f with nice warms hands.
Can't beat the Cold Guards for ease of access and wind protection.

sweeperguy, just wanted to thank you again for your suggestion, Happened to be at my local Cat dealer and found out that Arctic Cat actually makes a similar product, a little larger I think and more rigid in places so I picked up a pair, so will give these a try and hopefully just keeping wind off hands will be enough, I definitely think will be safer and you can now see all the controls. Thank you again for your suggestion.

Update: my thumb warmer quite working this weekend on my less than one year old sled luckily my brother in law had his klim gauntlets with him. I borrowed those and it allowed me to keep riding for the day as it felt like my thumb was going to fall off. I am going to order the ski doo ones in case I run into this issue again.

Cautionary tale for all those using gauntlets....please, please, please make sure that they can safely break-away, or your hands can easily come out, if you lose control of your snowmobile. A friend of mine lost his life a few years ago due to tight fitting, non break-away gauntlets. They were a much older style, leather if I remember correctly. He hit a log on the trail, was ejected, but instead of going off the sled he flipped forward over the bars, and because the gauntlets did not come undone or couldn't get his hands out, he got crushed between his sled and a tree. Be safe out there...
