Getting to Blackjack Snocross Event on sled????

Heading up this weekend for the races, and thinking of bringing the sleds up and riding to the snocross event if we can get there. Does anybody have any info on if there is trail access to Blackjack Mountain? We will be staying in Ironwood.

There is a trail that heads north just east of Bessemer heading up to the South Boundry road that goes right through a ski hill. I wish I could remember if it was Indinahead or Blackjack. But either way you will be very close. I havent went that way for a few years.

I believe that trail runs through Indian Head.

Take trail 2 east to trail 11N runs right through black jack, about a mile north of hwy. 2.

Its Blackjack, unless they changed it recently. There used to be SnoMo parking area at the lodge before it was sold to the new owners.

Correct...it goes through the Blackjack parking lot right down Blackjack Rd.

11 N from hiway 2 was not groomed last sunday, but signs are there. The trail up the hill to Indianhead was rutted and not groomed either and there was a cable across the trail at the top of the hill. You can lift it tho and Indianhead staff did not say anythiing about us having breakfast up there.
