GM Buy Power Credit Card Top Off Offer

Hello,
I have been waiting for my "top off" offer from being a GM Buy Power credit card holder to arrive as it seems later than usual (last year it came on January 3, 2014).

Has anyone received their offer yet? My local Green Bay dealer said they went out in the January 7, 2015 mail.

FYI; the Top off offer is a 1-4k discount that "many" GM credit card holders receive on about the first of each new year and is based on some "secret" algorithym that GM uses.

Got mine, top off of $2k, how do they determine the amount to top off?

Would be nice to be able to combine with a supplier discount. New truck prices are getting crazy.

Hello,
I buy trucks every year from GM for my business and my dealer discounts are always better than the supplier discount etc. I generally get 4k-5.3k as the dealer discount before any rebate or top-off. If you do not repeat buy each year I would say 3.8k is attainable as the discount.

Remember, the discount is the money the dealer absorbs. Timing of the year and watching dealer inventory levels help too. Too many vehicles on the lot = better discount.

My understanding on the "supplier discount" is that the manufacturer absorbs this discount above/beyond a dealer discount?

Supplier and employee prices are fixed on the dealer invoice and the dealer cannot raise or lower that price. Any incentives may or may not apply if you use those purchase programs, the OEM sets the rules the dealer must follow. And the dealer is not obligated to honor those programs. In other words, the dealer does not have to sell you an inventoried vehicle at supplier price if he chooses not to.


Supplier is above dealer invoice price (few $100) but GM employee is below dealer invoice price.
