Was there on the 5th back in 95 or 96. They had just opened it on the 4th. Nothing like having a snowball fight in July!

That would be pretty cool. I remember taking a scenic chairlift ride on Mt. Hood in Oregon in late June and waiting in the lift line with skiers. (They typically ski through Labor Day.) It's a very weird, but cool, experience.

I remember driving on this like it was a race course later in the evening when no one was on it with a rental car, it was a lot of fun, there was a big huge fire that was going on in glacier national Park at the time and we could only backpack and camp on the east side of the park, it was a week before Sept 11 2001

We were in the four corners region a couple weeks ago and many off road mountain passes we couldn’t do because of snow yet. Down in SW CO. We were able to do some but couldn’t get much over 12,000 ft. Kids got to play in some snow in June. 100* in the desert, 45* up the mountain.

Wasn’t much snow this winter out west.

I'm planning to be at Pikes Peak about July 16th on the bike. Hope it is o.k.

The latest info is the earliest it will open is 7/13. One of the latest openings ever. We drove it last August and its an amazing drive. Both days weather at Logan Pass kind of sucked and it was cloudy and wet but still the views coming up from the west side were incredible. We also went up to Many Glaciers Lodge and it was incredible. Probably the most amazing views I've ever seen.
