Fun? Golf is stressful! I do not golf since I have enough stress in my life already. Those that say they "don't take it serious" are the ones who get the maddest and throw their clubs the farthest. Besides if I'm not burning some fossil fuel why bother! (cart doesn't count). Well, then there is "Mini Golf" that offers challenges, I can do that. Besides, what a waste of great pasture land. And then there is Basketball, makes no sense whatsoever. Wow it is pushing 90 today. (not to change the subject) lol. Have a great 4th of July.

Skylar,

You'd be laughing at me now. I actually tore a tendon in my hand putting a club back in my bag.. and it was put back normally, which is not forcefull. It hurts so bad I went to the E.R. and now I have to go see a hand specialist. I wish I would have hurt it doing something more manly like throwing a club, smashing a drive, lifting something heavy, punching something, or even drinking. Nope not here though. I got my early morning workout in and it was ok, but it hurts like heck to lift a coffee cup. Weirdest thing ever, heavy work it ok but the light crap hurts. I tried the 4 wheeler today and the thumb throttle is a no go. I gotta get this bugger fixed.

That really sucks, make sure you are healed up in time for winter!!

BTW, getting hurt doing something like that indicates that you are getting old! LOL.

Oh so true Skylar, the days of pounding your body and not caring are over. The doc told me one time he hurt his hamstring getting off of the couch. That's awesome too.

When I was a kid my mom taught me how to golf. One day when I was 19 she was helping me pick up my clubs, which I had strewn all over the course. I still remember what she said, word for word..."You know, Brucie, some people just shouldn't play golf, and you are one of them."

I could tell she was serious. I looked her right in the eye and said "Mom, you're right." I picked up the last of my clubs, walked to the car, and have not been on a golf course since!

Don't know how you guys do it.

Funny story;

I golf with a guy that uses a clicker to count strokes. We are both hacks, so the clicker does help. He hits the ball and click. Pretty quiet day on the course and you can hear the thing across the fairway.

Anyhow, a few years ago we were golfing a pretty heavily wooded course and he got into the trees at the side of the fairway. He hits the ball and I hear it "whack" into the trees and then "click". Ball didn't go anywhere. Next hit, "Whack", then "Fu#&" and click. Another hit, Whack, Fu#& and click. I was not even able to stand after the fourth Whack, Fu#&, click. He finally kicked the ball out onto the fairway to find my laying on the ground laughing.

Still brings laughs just thinking about him looking at me saying "What is so Funny"?
