Gonna be tough financially for WI clubs this year

We all know how crappy last year was for snowmobilers and related businesses. A lot of northern WI clubs (and some southern) are going to really feel the effect this winter. Those clubs that budget for and expect to dip into the pool of supplemental funds won't get to do so due to lack of grooming hours expended last year. Supplemental payments are made in arrears for the previous season but won't be showing up this year. No clubs qualified. Common wisdom says that they didn't groom so didn't incur any expense, so no big deal. In reality, the fixed expenses incurred far outweigh the variable expenses (fuel, maintenance, etc.), biggest one being equipment payments. Facilities, insurance, utilities and many other bills keep coming as well. I know I plan to be generous to my club this year.

Most of us probably didn't spend nearly as much as we typically do riding last year. I was thinking it might be a good year for me to join a few clubs.

Probably better to mail a donation check otherwise joining dues get used up on administrative functions of your membership.

If I was a club up North worrying about funds for grooming I would be getting that memo out now. However per the usual, its crickets from all the clubs I follow/ am a member of. I'm guessing its less of a problem then logic might indicate.
