Good Boots

I have been having terrible problems keeping my feet warm this year. I currently own a pair of Castle boots and they are not getting the job done. I am looking for a good pair of warm boots. Any suggestions?

Klim Adrenaline GTX, or if you really have naturally cold feet, get the Klim Arctic GTX boots. It has either almost double or exactly double the amount of thinsulate in the boot over the Adrenalines.

I just bought a pair of Adrenalines and like them. Just have to use good wool socks for moisture wicking.

If you're looking for cheap but warm, try the bunny boots: http://www.bunnyboots.com/
They use bunny boots a lot in the iron dog race because of the waterproof insulation. If they don't have waterproof insulation, they're required to carry an extra pair of liners or boots or something like that. So using the bunny boots allows them to safe weight and space on their sleds. Bunny boots apparently don't always fit really well under the footwells though, and aren't super durable.

Thanks for the tips! I have been looking at the Klim ones, just wanted to get other people's opinions on them before I spend that much on a pair of boots.

I've had my LaCrosse boots for 20 years and never have had cold feet. Not sure how new ones are. I think mine are LaCrosse Iceman.

Irish Setter trail phantom 600 gram and waterproof or Irish Setter Grizzly Tracker 1000 gram
Good bang for the buck in my opinion.

Don't forget about good socks. They make a world of difference. If you are just wearing plain old athletic socks, that might be your problem. Invest in a good pair of Wool socks. They wick moisture away better than any boot can.

I have a pair of Klim socks that I wear and they still don't do the trick.

I looked at the klim boots too, ended up going with motofist. Awesome boots
Stomper or Stomper2? I looked at the Stomper2 but went with Klim boots because I love the klim snowpants and gloves I have. The Stomper2 boots looked pretty nice though.

Sorel Intrepid Explorer™ -100 Boot

Great boot, a little bulky, but very warm. I can use very thin socks with these boots.

Rocky hunting boots, 1000 gram Thinsulate. Light and comfy and warm, and half the price of Klim.

I have Klim adrenaline and motorfist stomper 2.0. Both good boots, never cold. I like the Klim's slightly better. Klim's are lighter, slightly less bulkier, and drier. (Meaning the klim's evacuate sweat moisture better) I will say the stompers will probably be more durable in the long run.

absolutely correct, I even wear 2 pair of socks to work now everyday and what a difference, would not have thought it but it's true. My work boots are cold but with the correct socks I a just fine. I only ear one pair of thick socks, not even sure of the material but with the Klim adrenalin they are the boot I ever have experienced,,,,,there are many good choices out there I am sure

I have the Arctiva Comp boots and they are very warm. They have the same soles as the trukke boots I had previously. They don't make trukke anymore, but the arctiva are basically very similar style. They have removable liners as well.

I got a pair of the Klim Arctic GTX boots from Kip this fall and love them. It would be best to try them on if you can to get the right size. I had a pair of Lacrosse Iceman's prior to that and they are very warm too, just not too flashy! :)

That's a good reminder. I wear size 10. I have size 12 Klim boots. The store didn't have size 11 to try on, but the 12s feel good with a little room for toe stretching. So Klim boots run 1 to 2 sizes smaller than the label.
