GoPro Hero 3 Mounting suggestions

I received a GoPro for Christmas this year and would like to hear suggestions and opinions on the best way to mount the camera...directly to the sled or on my helmet. I already have a contour HD which I used to mount to my helmet. This is a compact camera so it didn't bother me on my helmet at all. The GoPro seams a little more awkward mounting it to my helmet compared to the contour HD. I generally like to see down the trail in front of me. I was thinking about mounting to my front bumper but on GoPro's website I can't see how I can use their mount since it doesn't look like the camera can rotate on their mount.

Looking for the best view/angle and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Mounting on bumper, hood, or anyplace in front of the windshield will not work. Snow spray, etc, gets on the lens and distorts the picture.I tried mounting on both sides of the helmet and I found I liked the top of the helmet best. You can look to both sides, front and always get a good view. Good luck and Merry Christmas and New Year.

x2 with surtrack. I suggest not anywhere attached to sled. If you hit bumps and stuff the camera shakes and makes it really hard to watch because too shaky. I mount mine on top and on the side of my helmet.

that's what I thought. I had the same issues with the contour HD. the contour HD looks smaller and more stealthy... don't want to look like this guy.
