GPS question - upgrading from Garmin 60csx

I use a garmin 60csx - thinking about upgrading to one with a larger screen. The 60csx' still go for good money on ebay, and the discontinued waterproof 500's and 550's can be found cheap on ebay. Anyone upgraded to one of those? Is it an upgrade? I'm not sure if I'd lose any functionality, but a bigger screen would be great for reading maps. Any other larger screened GPS' to look into?

I still have the 60cx and purchased a Montana. The Montana is not a comfortable pocket unit, but it has a bigger screen. I like the fact that I can use it in the car with a mount and get voice navigation. I missed that with the 60. I also use phone navigation when I'm on the road and the Montana takes more time to input locations but they both use similar routes on the road. I did upload trail maps on both Garmin units and they are similar when using them in the woods.

I really do like one feature on the Montana. It powers up when I start the sled. I run a non-estart sled and do not have constant power. I built a mounting assembly with the power tied into the sled harness. It does work nicely for riding.

Good Luck.

Also using the Montana and give it top ratings. We use them on ATV's and on my boat. The best unit I have ever used.

I use an old Garmin 276C. An out of production model you can find used on ebay. Great big screen and use the Garmin marine mount.

Thanks for the responses. Seems like it doesn't hurt to be a little older technology with these things and save a few bucks. Which Montana do you use?
