Grand Marais, Seney, Pine Stump, Munising

Great riding in this area, I have been exploring over the last three seasons. Taking my 13 year old on his first trip to the UP tomorrow. We will ride in the peninsula this season and next year for his trip we will go east and show him Pictured Rocks, the falls and probably even a litte backpack trip and spend the night in Paradise. Even though I have seen all these places many times, looking at them through his eyes makes it just like the first.

241 miles on Tuesday & 324 miles on Wednesday, It was awesome out n the woods towns are junk after today, (Thursday) The town of G.M. is unpassable but the trail system is awesome 3 miles out except for the lakeshore trail, that is showing lots of asphalt anywhere within a mile of the shore, Town of Paradise was unpassable on Tuesday miles of mud & gravel, but whitefish point trail & 8 to pine stump are excellent even the great burn area is snow covered & has some drifting, Seney you can scratch in for gas but North of Danaher parking lot is excellent, pine stump is passable TASA is doing a great job north, anywhere close to Newberry is done, road side trail by pine stump is mud but you can navigate around it. Curtis area is done, lakes there have 15 to 18 inches of ice still, 45 south between Curtis & Seney is mostly ice covered but is going to be unpassable as of today, (Thursday) unless they get more snow there. They say snow on Friday, I think rain then slush. in my opinion its done unless you drop in the woods 3 to 5 miles North of M-28, maybe you can ride this weekend but expect some crappy spots. Grooming efforts were excellent by all the above named areas. Great job for what you have to work with guys, Thanks for the season!!!
