Pardon the interruption Packer fans but does anyone know what the two symbols on the Patriots field are that are located on the 50 yard line on both side lines? Yellow and silver in color.

from Google...

There are 2 images on the sidelines at the 50-yard line, which complement the center field image of the Patriot. Those side-line images are a post-modern combination of a bridge and a lighthouse, symbols that combined create the official symbol of Gillette Stadium and its tribute to the area's colonial heritage.

and as long as we're on the subject... AND since I have the whole off-season to ponder these...

What the heck are the graphics on the Wolverine Helmet from Michigan. What is that? I've always wondered.

Why do the Steelers only have one Logo on their's? Did somebody screw up and forget both sides?

The Browns, with nothing on theirs. Named after Paul Brown? Well, OK, I can't think of anything for their helmet either.

Enjoy the Playoffs!

You guys in PackerLand don't know how good you have it! You KNOW who your QB is going to be for the next decade and you are lucky to have Mr. Rodgers. That was just his first playoff game - he will be in many more. Across the border to the west you have the Vikes who have pinned the whole season on Favre. They had better win it all this year because if they don't they have no chance for the next 10 years. Who will be their QB next year? It won't be anyone in the same class as Rodgers. The smart guys are already picking the Cowboys to roll on Sunday. Donovan McNabb can still run around like a crazed gerbil and he still was sacked and hurried into worthlessness by Dallas. What is going to happen to the stump-like Favre when Ware and Ratliff and Spencer get loose? Ad a couple of fumbles by Peterson and 50 missed tackles by the MN defense and you have a blowout. The Pack lost a very close, very entertaining classic playoff game. The Vikes will embarrass the entire state of MN by halftime.

How Many Super Bowls did he win

If the Packers Defense can TOTALLY shut down and frustate the Cowboys,....
I'm sure the Vikings mighty defense can come up with a plan to do the same.
Give Brett some time, and They should do fine.

(though,... he has NEVER beat Dallas in his career)

Should be a good game!

The way that the Saints and Cardinals operate, along with Their defenses,...
THAT game should be another "Arena Bowl" score!

)

Gary i n as you answered my question here ya go.

The markings on the Michigan helmet I've been told match the markings of an in the wild wolverine, however the markings are faint.

The Steelers helmet:

Article doesn't say why no image but I can say its iconic and emotional for Browns fans.
The Browns helmet:

Gary as a native Northern Buckeye, a one time 25 year Browns ticket holder and a Buckeye fan I am now going to go take four Tylenol and repent for the rest of the day for posting about the steelers and that team up north in one post.

BigVin...Favre has beaten Dallas in his career, he has beaten every team in the NFL...just one of his many records. He has not beaten Dallas in the playoffs I believe. Although I am a Favre fan, I cannot bring myself to cheer for him and the Vikes in the playoffs. My only hope is that Dallas takes care of the Vikes and the Saints or Cards take care of the Cowboys. Then all will be good in the world. (my soninlaw is a huge Cowboy fan) The one edge us Packer fans have over the Vikes is our Super Bowl trophies and I would hate to lose that trump card. What ever happens it will be fun to watch and read about here on JD.
