This isn't about glue, but thought I'd pass it on in case someone could use the help. When you put on new grips, they can be tough to slide on. The best way I've seen, is to plug the other side of the handle bar with something, put your air hose tip tight on the little hole at the end of the grip, start blowing air into the grip, then slide it over the handle bar. The back preasure from the air will escape between the inside of the grip and the handlebar, and it slides right on.

Just thought I'd share. Not sure if the glue would go flying out of there, but maybe enough would stay.

The Air Compressor works as zimmbob stated above I have also used Aqua-net hairspary or some other cheap "Sticky" type of hairspray. It's a lube and glue.

I have done both methods and both have worked!
Don't wast money on a specialty glue.

Liquid dish soap will slip the covers on after soaking the grips in hot water to soften them on. After the soap evaporates in a day or so, the grips stay tight.

That expensive glue is nothing more than cyanoacrolite fancy name for super glue, get it at the dollar store for cheap. I race motocross and used to use that you have to be fast when putting your grips on it dries almost instantly. I wire my gripes now I dont use glue at all on sleds atvs and dirtbikes. You can get these at any online site like motosport.com its a tool that grips the wire and tightens it around the grip in two or three spots. then when you want to change the grips cut the wire and pull them off no nasty clue to clean off the handlebars.

Good luck

I also have used Aqua-net hair spray a few times now. Grips slide right on and also lets you move\position them. They have stayed put so far since then.
