tommorrow,we here in South Range have recieved 4 to 6 inches in the past 2 days, yes it started out with rain and snow mix, to sleet and snow mix, to last night as I headed home some really good lake effect snow which has continued through out the day. There have been sleds in the area , and I know all want to know is it worth coming, well all I can say is our weather can chnge from hour to hour let alone day by day. Call for updates. The groomers are going to head out tommorrow and see how it goes, will have updates soon.

Rode from Chassell To South Range then proceeded toward Houghton but the trail got real thin 2 miles north of the Range. Headed back towards Painesdale and road the BN to Twin Lakes! Hit a few rocks, missed a few deer but at least I got some riding in! We need more snow that's all there is to it!

Thanks rsvectordude, the trailer is loaded and I got 1wk vacation I have to use this week, but I don't like rocks and stuff with new sleds, much less the $460 in Diesel it would cost to sit in a room without TV for a week. Come on first week of January, let there be plenty of snow!!

Dave went out this morning to see how conditions were, he went from Houghton to M-38, said trail was in perfect shape, base was in good shape.followed the groomer for awhile on the Freada loop then turned aroound, so that trail is being groomed as well.We have approx. 8 to 10 inches on the ground, the past week temps. were in the teens, partly cloudy today. It is early season conditions today but weather here is day by day, so stay posted.

you guys are lucky. you got a foot out of the last snow and we got 4. We need snow bad. I tell people to go up your way because it's still not ready here.

Glad to hear the trail is holding up. Just hard to imagine snow down here right now. They were teeing them up at the local golf course today.
