Guess the Tow Vehicle?

I'm sorry if I'm not using your terminology but I learned "weight distribution hitch" as load levelers from an old farmer. I think of them as leveling the trailer and tow vehicle; you can think of them as distributing the weight between them. Either way, it's was pair of springs inserted into the draw bar (I hope this is not another term difference) and attached to the trailer by a chain.

LOL I know load levelers as coil over shocks from monroe and really was wunder'n why you'd be crawl'n under his SUV to know this... That would be a weight dist hitch which added would make the porch tow better than most half tons...

I still don't understand the point of this post? Who cares what you tow with. Who cares what you ride. Everyone on here is fortunate to be able to ride no matter how they get there.

justgos to show rich people have the money but not the smarts or common sence

the quote says it all...rich people don't have the smarts or common "sence"

Wow. What difference does it make what someone uses to tow a trailer. It takes them where they're going and gets them back. If they can afford it...so what. Good for them. I bet they ride Yamaha's too...were you thinking that too?

Not sure how someone having money equates to not having common "sence". I pull a 4-place trailer with a Cadillac Escalade. The truck, trailer, and all four toys on the trailer are paid for. So does this mean I have no common sense? Just wondering.

the escalades a chevy truck not a 90k sports car pulling a 4 place

For your information the Porsche Cayenne's MSRP is $47,000.00 to $67,000.00 unless you go with a special order turbo.

The Cadillac Escalade MSRP is between $68,000.00 to $85,000.00 depending on options.

I would say both are in the same ball park with price. So to get back to my original question, why don't "rich" people have common sense? I put rich in quotations because rich means something different to different people. I guess I don't understand if it can pull the trailer what is the difference what the person uses.

I posted the picture because it was funny seeing the size difference between the Porsche and the trailer; and I wouldn't think the Porsche has the frame or transmission to pull an enclosed four-place trailer. Horsepower yes.

An Escalade can easily pull a trailer because it is based on a Suburban. It has the frame and transmission. Is a Porsche really known for pulling enclosed four-place trailers?

I doubt a Porsche is "known" for towing anything. But if they rate it for 7700 lb i'm sure an enclosed trailer with some snowmobiles is NO problem. I would certainly agree that a Suburban would tow better but then again a turbo diesel with a 5th wheel type trailer would be better than that. And a semi driver probably looks at all of them and laughs. All about the perspective eh?
