Guided Snowmobile Tours

Hello everyone. A couple I know recently moved to Michigan from the southern US and would like to try snowmobiling this winter, and were asking about guided tours. I know there are many places that rent sleds, but the guided tour part is a new one for me. Does anyone have any recommendations for snowmobile rentals and a guided tour in the UP?

Reach out to Steve @ deckertours.com, info@deckertours.com or 715-254-1715. They are based in Eagle River WI but provide an extensive list of snowmobile & side by side services. One of my best 3 days of riding in 30 years, was on a tour with Steve. Still talk about it all the time and it was almost 10 years ago. They can tailor the ride to your needs!

same here...and with disk squires outta IST TOURS (international snowmobile tours) in Yellowstone and the DECKERS...was Michigan snowmobile magazine with you on any of those tours? our reporter was northwinds Charlie of MSA....great times...we stayed overnite once at WILD BILL HICKOCKS hunting cabin PAHASKA TEEPEE...we were the last tour that had permission to ride Yellowstone at night...what a rush and adventure night time is in Yellowstone

IST is out of business I think now...decker would be awesome snowsledder

An updated map will get them where they wanna go in the U.P. You'd be better off to spend your time looking for places to see/go while looking at a map at the kitchen table with your friends. Then when the snow flies, go rent some sleds and get to it. Don't get tied up on the guided tour thing, especially if they have any experience at all. If they're totally new to it, then definitely get out during the week to avoid the traffic, guide or no guide

I'll chime in also with the Decker Tours---great people.

but would you think for a first time snowmobile ride a decker tour is the way to go? I am not sure I would think 99% of people looking at that rout would have a fair amount of experience under there belt . I assume the 2 folks from the south want to try out snowmobile riding I assume a 1/2 day max for the wife prob a bit longer for the guy with a lot of stops .max speeds prob not over 50 . I could be off base but have brought a few new people out for the day and that is the norm.

are they or one of them vets ? if so look in to the vets rides .
. all free for the vet and his wife or kid or girlfriend . cat brings a boat load of new sleds . they have dinners trail stops with snacks and fires along the way broke in to experience levels . Top notch program I am in MN I assume they have thing like it in other states but not sure . **** for what they give you well worth the drive to the north shore
