Question for you regarding your salt situation, have you ever experienced dead grass in the spring because of the salt?
Scott_I, have not had issues with the grass burning. I try to keep the level of salt use low. I do have the advantage of high water flow because all the downspouts go into one exit point. The amount of water seems to flush the residual salt. The high water flow also keeps the exit from refreezing overnight when temps drop. Kinda like the lava tube effect. The flowing water creates a channel through the ice under the snow.
Interesting note about the salt burn issue. I see more grass problems on the edge of the road from their salt.
