my buddy put the brightest PIAA bulbs in his 09 XP (i think they were purple colored bulbs) VERY bright white light from them! Il probably going to get them for the new sled also
i ran some xenon blue "brite lites" brand bulbs last year, they were yellower than crap and weren't any better than a standard bulb... I may just put HID's on mine and have a toggle switch for start up
i have never been impressed with Brite Lights brand bulbs...guys swear by them but i dont. My favorite and i still have them (been in 3 or 4 sleds) are the polaris accessory blue bulbs. unfourtunatly they quit making them a few years ago! the PIAAs are great tho so thats what we are all running now
They say yellow is good for snowy and blowing conditions. Im trying some brighter watt blue bulbs. They are lots brighter than stock as i see it in garage with lots off also nice blue color in the light bezzle
As long as the headlights are adjusted right the brightness should not be a problem. The only sure way I know of is having 2 sleds coming at each other at night and adjust accordingly.
