Handle bar grips or tape

I am having a hard time getting my handle bar grips to stay put. I have tried hair spray, 3 bond grip glue and JB weld a epoxy glue and all have let loose or failed some way. I even have plugs on the ends with screws holding the grip on. I was wondering if anyone has tried handle bar tape. I seen a advertizement for a handle bar product for a snowmobile and the bars had tape on them. Anyone using tape on there snowmobile handle bars? What brand is it and where did you get it? Thanks for any reply's

I have had good luck using 100% silicone / RTV. Put a thin coat inside the grip and slide them on. Wait a day and you will be good. Next time you will have to cut them off. Good luck.

Use two sided tape on handlebar. Put a little gas or acetone on tape to act as lubricant to slide grips on. Wait about 24 hours for the acetone to evaporate and you should be set.

This is the same way golf club grips are attached ... Fyi
