Thanks.

For many years now, my life's motto is... You have two choices in life, no matter what is going on:
1)Be happy
2) or not.

Sometimes I can lose sight of that, but never for very long. Life is good and the best is yet to come.

After reading John’s journal today it is apparent that with the lack of snow some people are a little on edge. I am glad that John is keeping his head high and not letting the couple of negative e-mails ruin in for all of us. I try to live life by hoping for the best, while being prepared for the worst, and taking what comes. Yes, it would be nice if all of the upper Midwest was frozen with 18" of white gold on the ground. However, this not the case so for all of us snow lovers we need to try to be happy with the cards we are dealt. Thanks John for all that you do with this site!

John it is what it is don't let it get to you, look at it this way Gracie got to ride!

Skylar and I were chatting yesterday, I was getting some opinions from him on sleds, he was amazed I think cause I'm looking at getting a new sled with the snow conditions being what they are, but really this is the best time to get a deal when nothing is moving and there's not any snow, Like I told him keep the faith and stay positive.

Its Not easy being green...

JD,
I for one admire what you do buddy..... In a week or a day you go from a hero to zero and all you do is predict.....no guarantees.

I know some would like you to be able to guarntee snow, but I'd much rather have you pony up some guaranteed power ball numbers or something to that effect.

Thanks for all you do and keeping the site FREE all this time..ride on!

John, so sorry that some people have to try to find blame someone else every time things do not go their way.
At the Campground we perm park our Park Home, there is a sign in the office for weekend campers that states:
We do not charge for Sun shine, we do not refund for rain.
In your defense, you need to state: I do not charge for the forecast of snow, and will not apologize for lack there of.
Keep up forecast to the best your equipment, and skills can provide. It is sure a heck of a lot better than I can guess. For all the years you have had this site, I have seen your forecast out before the news, and have found your forecast to be spot on more than the new channels. I sometimes think they wait for your forecast then start theirs.
Thank you,

There's a special folder on your computer for e-mails like you mentioned. It's called "Spam". Don't let the whiners get you down.

P.S. Also, lose the hat.....makes you look like an escapee from Red/Green ;)

I can imagine those people drive on the trail like they are entitled to their half on which ever side they choose.

Because of your site, I have made friends and linked up with old schoolmates, thank you. If I was looking for someone to ride with or needed advice, all I have to do is post it and several people reach out to join up for a ride or lend a helping hand.

It is my hope that these couple people did not upset all the karma the rest of us are trying to lay down.
