Have to laugh, have we forgotten?

I live in south east Wisconsin, watching the news this morning and I quote "cleaning up after yesterdays winter wallup " there were news anchors on site showing the pictures of all the snow piled up along the roadway from the snow plows which as I could tell wasn't much more than ankle height. this "first major snow" "winter wallup" was 3 inches of lake effect snow, the DPW head in this county said of 26 plow trucks they had 4 of them out, but the news played it as some snowmageddon event. So I ask....an as usual over reaction of news reporting ? or.....have we forgotten what winter really is down here in our corner of the state. I just don't understand when 3 inches became a winter storm or a winter wallup.

That's just the media making something out of nothing, as is the case with EVERYTHING these days. 3 inches of snow is nothing.

Next we would have seen an interview with local resident Ashley "nice weather advocate" who is offended by snow, precipitation, and any weather less than 75 deg F. She and her friends will be launching a massive social media campaign (complete with gofundme links) to demand that government officials introduce "common sense weather control" legislation to stop any less than perfect summer weather.
Other residents and media personalities who have expressed a liking for winter, or are caught on camera enjoying winter sports are being accused of weather misconduct and being relieved of their positions and evicted from their homes.

Since when did "clippers" get named????

Listen to Al Roker and there are over 60 million people affected by the snow.....the news media is terrible and are looking for ratings, etc....I just laugh and don't pay attention anymore

It seems the way they do things now is to exaggerate everything. No matter what it is, or about. The truth means nothing to very many, as people only listen to what they want to hear. Even as they know it's untrue.

our local weather-guesser actually used the word "buried" for the 6" of "blow-away" lake affect snow we got...when he was predicting 12"

On Monday there was a dusting of snow in Chicagoland. They had a reporter in a car at 5am driving the interstates looking for snow. I kid you not. It is embarrassing to watch these people.
