I know there was a thread about this awhile ago but I will start again to see if there are any new ideas. What was the concensus about the best electric gloves and socks. Rechargeable. Thanks all.

A few years ago I bought some gears gen 3 glove liners that plug into my snowmobile, I also bought a unit that adjusts the amount of heat, it’s a dual purpose unit. I also bought an electric jacket, they also sell 12 volt electric socks, when I went snowmobiling last year when it was below zero every day I had nice warm hands, you can get the rechargeable kind but who knows if you’ll lose power out on the trail

My Cabelas last for four hours on "high", longer if you have them on medium-low. Never used them for snowmobiling, just snow blowing and outside play.

I bought the FXR Recon heated gloves about 4 years ago and really like them. I've got some of the coldest hands in existence and they really work well for me. The only drawback with battery powered gear is having enough battery. Most people will carry an extra set of batteries for a long day of riding.

I run the same stuff and like it a lot. Battery gear never lasted for me even with extra batteries along.
If you are going out for a couple hours, the battery stuff should suffice, if you are out there for longer, the 12v stuff really shines. Especially nice on very long day when you can just click it up a notch or two once the sun sets instead of worrying how much battery you can eek out of it.
Downside is having to plug/unplug when stopping for a break, but no different than a heated shield.

I use First Gear heated glove liners. They are considered for motorcycles and First Gear has socks, coat liners, etc that can all tie together. These run off the sled. The benefit is my outer gloves can be replaced but the liners have lasted for over 10 years.
