There is a service bulletin out for about 3 weeks to install flanged bushings in the shift shaft springs. I have done 4 machines, but just Wednesday, we have been advised that the service bulletin may not completely address the issue. We are now awaiting a new shift fork to be made. All machines previously modified need to be opened up again when parts become available. machines not yet modified are to wait for all the parts before doing any service bulletins.

Owners of the machines are being sent a letter to advise them to not operate reverse until the service bulletin is completed.

On a side note that I don't know the answer to, some of the very last machines built had the bushings installed at the factory and were not subject to the original service bulletin. I don't know if they will be affected with the new shift fork mod or not.

I apologize in advance for denigrating the manufacturer, but this is SO typical of AC - let the customer do their D&D.
Just bad engineering, bottom line. To spend that kind of money, and have this kind of problem, it's just not worth it to chance it.

Ezra, you can believe me or not, I wouldn't have any reason to lie.....but I have never owner a Polaris Fusion.
Ordered one in 2006 from G&G Powersports in Muskego, but cancelled before I took delivery when I heard about all the problems.
I don't care a rip about the username and have no desire to change it.
But I did own a 1994 Thundercat - if you want to know how that experience worked out, let me know.
