Update

Kailee is doing well so far. She lost one of her toe nails but it seems to not be an issue. It may be a nutrition issue being bottle fed. She is getting very vocal and has regained some of here weight. She is up to a whopping 5.8 oz's. The next big thing should be her eyes opening up which should be any time now. She seems to be getting very frustrated crawling around in the dark. I will post pictures later tonight.

Ranlam, the only breeder we know about would be the one that one of our other dogs "Louis" came from. His original owner purchased him and then found out how high energy he is and wanted to dump him off. He is a little OCD when it comes to wanting to chase a ball 24/7. He is a the perfect Boston Terrier specimen though and very smart. I am not sure what she paid for him but I believe it was in the four figures. Amazing that someone would spend that much and then simply decide to ditch the dog. I think that the name of the breeder may be on some of the stuff that we got when we got Louis. My wife is looking for it and will let you know.

I have aquired a King Charles Cavilier that a lady paid $2600 for and then decided she didn't want him since he was not "Just quite show material". She said, "Take him, all yours". She should not have any animals. We love him to death great dog.

New Pics

Well her eyes have not opened up yet but should be any time. She is trying to get up and walk on all fours but cannot quite get everything going in the right direction yet. Here are a few new pics.

Having a Rough Time Lately

Our little Kailee has had a rough go the last week. She started to have trouble early in the week and got to a point where she really was not doing anything. Very non-responsive. We thought she was not going to make it. We have tried a couple medicines and it seems to be helping. She is back to crawling around and has become responsive again. She is certainly not out of the woods yet but the last couple days have been an improvement. Development wise she is definitely behind. She is very precious and seems to be a fighter. We sure hope she makes it because we are all very attached now. I will post some new pictures in the next day or two.

Sad News

Our little Kailee passed away last night. It happened very quickly. She had just started crawling around (what we called play time) after a nap and it appears that she had a siezure which caused her to choke. We tried for several minutes to revive her but she just was not strong enough. We only had her for a month but she stole all our hearts. We miss her terribly but cherish the month that we were blessed to have her. It is amazing how profoundly a little pup can touch your life. She was pure sweet innocence.

So sorry to hear about your loss. You were doing such a great job in caring for an animal that someone else just gave up on. It brings tears.

Thank You, for doing the "good" thing.

Thank you for giving a special puppy a chance. I looked for your updates daily and was pretty sad to read your last post. Every pic you posted brought a smile to my face...and the last post you had led to a few tears being shed. All I can say is thanks for what you did...as a dog owner with 4 wondeful ones that are my best friends I truly appreciate all the effort you gave for such a precious little girl.

Thanks

Thanks to all of you for the kind thoughts. Kailee being gone has left a big hole in our lives, one that will never really be filled. I have had pets my whole life but never one like her. It is hard to explain. Here are the last pictures that we took of her. She was snoozing away on the hot water bottles that she loved to lay on to stay warm. Thanks again.
