Help out on the trails.

I had a similiar experience in lower michigan where I came across a single sled on side of trail at night.
The guy was riding an 6-7 year old sled with his "friends" and had blown a belt and it was all wrapped up around clutch.
His "friends" had not come back and this guy didnt know how to change the belt much less get it loose, I grabbed a multi tool, cut off the crap and got him going
He wasnt even sure where he was on the trail and we never did see his "friends" in the time it took to get him back on the trail.
If I am the next to last guy in the group my neck gets tired from looking back for the last guy in line to make sure he is still there.....

My best feeling of helping someone was the time I was driving home and passed a van on the side of the road with an older lady at the wheel.
I went back to check if ok and it was a grandma with a van full of grandkids and a flat tire, no cell phone of course and wondering what to do...
The appreciation received was worth way more than the time it took out of my day to change it for her
I would like to think that if it was my 83 year old mom on the side of the road someone would take the time to help her....

Came across a group and someone was waving and jumpin around like a caged tiger. I did the right thing and stopped though I was hesitant and my riding friends didn't even notice,,,Turned out she was the only smoker and had left base w/o a light. I whipped out my wood matchstick and we both fired one up and are now FB friends..

Near Marenisco MI came across--1st sight a Sled in the woods against a tree--2nd site 3 people standing in the woods, a 3rd laying on ground. We (3 of us) stop, walk over as the helmet is being taken off the person on the Ground. Appears a Lady, she starts making sounds of pain. A Sled comes down the trail, guy gets off, ends up he is with the injured party. He thanks us for stopping, we offer any help wanted. He calls 911, in the mean time, 4 of us pull the sled out of the woods, ambulance comes and we help get her on the body board and into the ambulance. The guys and gals she is with tell us she is 69, and the rest of the group are all in there 70's. We are a bit shaken up by the experience, but yet feel good that we could help. The next day, we are up in Twin Lakes MI stopped at Krupps for gas. A Lady approaches us and asks if we are the guys that helped her friend. Ends up her Friend was in bad shape with a Fractured pelvis, broken hip and sprained knee in intensive care. Just glad we could help, wishing her a speedy recovery!!

As sledders, we actually run in small circles. You guys made an impact that will never be forgotten.
