Anyone else UP this weekend , would like a little more info than the bit that NC666 gave

You don't need people to be physically in the UP to give you a report in 2018. The government has spent billions of dollars putting satellites and weather stations on the ground that can detect snow depths. We are is bad shape right now in the Midwest. No where to ride.

Looks like my vacation miracle might be coming true. We fly in Thursday morning and I am meeting my transporter at noon to pick up my trailer and sleds at lake gogebic. From the forecast we might be just in time-

Yup looks like some good snow should start hitting that area about the time you get there, it's coming a little too late for us. I think you definitely get the award for traveling the farthest, we didn't take the 420 mile drive due to the conditions, we are waiting a few weeks now. Hope it all works out and you have a good time ! Keep us posted...……………..

I am at the point in life that I do what I want for the most part even though a lot of it doesn't make sense to my wife. I just want my son to have the same memories of snowmobiling trips that I was fortunate enough to be offered by my dad. Its funny, I will jump on the plane first thing in the morning and be in Green Bay/Appleton at 8:30 and then up to the lodge by noon with a rental truck. This is less time then what we used to drive from Grand Haven and just about the same cost if it was just me.

We drive up to Three Lakes every summer for the Shootout with our boat which is another (non-logical) run but the guys from Three lakes also come down to Florida for our river run every year as well.
