Help with a new (to me) sled

I still ride a Yamaha SRX 700. I'm somewhat infatuated with the Polaris Switchback Adventure. After breaking my neck (paralyzed for 6 months), I've decided that I want (need) something that hits the following criteria:

- Electric Start
- Reverse
- Easier ride on trails (I still have paralysis of the left arm, so turning strength is a concern, and the entire reason why I need something new).
- I still need to keep up with friends - My 700 triple will do this, but it's not easy. I have no desire to slow groups down. Even with a weak arm, I can keep up, but I want it to be easier on me.
- PRICE. I doubt I will put 400-500 miles on/year. it is THE reason I haven't bit on a new sled. Renting doesn't make sense for me as we leave right from the cabin most often. I guess (talking-to myself) I could rent on long trips, and keep my current sled for short ones, but I...don't.....want....to :D

Most of my riding is done on Wisconsin or Minnesota groomed trails. 20% would be ditch banging. 20% off trail.

I know I can get new 2013 Switchback Adventures for about $9000. I'm pretty sure I need to stay in the $6000 range. 4 Stroke is seriously intriguing, but I don't think they could hit my price point.

I have no loyalty to brand.

Thoughts?

a bargain to look in to would be a 07up f8 snopro.
very comfy ride and very ez steer
when my back is out I can still trail ride my wife's f8
I got her 07 sno pro f8 electric start at a dealer for 4g with 700mi on it.
I know u can steer one of those with 1 arm .very ez steer almost to ez for me I added 8 deep keel carbide to get more feedback.
and I cant imagine having to ride a srx with a bad back or neck they are torture on anything but smooth trail. got to love the 700 trip trip screaming across the lake though

Kelor,

I have a 2012 Vector LTX with powersteering and it has the 5 year warranty plan! Which is also unlimited mileage. Sled only has 2300 miles and it's black in color. Just something to think about. I would sell it for 7900. A little high I know but I think with your injury that powersteering would be great not to mention no oil usage and great mileage. I do have other used 4 strokes as well. I also have a very nice 2010 Ski Doo 600 Etec Renegade for 5500. Nice light sled. Also these both have the little longer track which your back would appreciate. If you want to talk give me a call at 906-883-3536. Kip

You should be looking a @ a Vector LTX with EPS keep up with any sled out there very strong 125 4s engine. My buddy hurt his arm & hand waterskiing couldn't ride for 2 years so you will be limted until Doc clears you. They didn't have EPS back then which would have helped him a lot to keep up. I hope you can ride this season but EPS is what you need.
