It's here now. Went for a ride this morning, left at about 8:45, it was 20 degrees and we had freezing mist.Had to stop about every 5 or 6 miles to clean the shield. Had lunch in Crookston, MN and when we headed for home the north wind had really come up. There were times that we could only run about 15 MPH and could not see the trail in the ditch, sometimes having a hard time even seeing where the road was. The last 6 miles of the ride were out in open country along a gravel road. I could tell it was getting colder and the wind was howling, I stopped to wipe my face off as it felt a little wet. I had frostbite on both sides of my face. I warmed them up with my hands and finished my ride. The temp was below zero already at 2:00 and the wind was gusting to 50 MPH. No wonder it was cold and hard to see. It is about 10 below now and is going down to minus 28 tonight according to the NWS and we won't see zero until at least Thursday.

Yep I can wait to ride. Cuddle with the pups, yea We have 0 here, crappy snow falling, almost like drizzle, but good 4 the trails, this snow ain't going anywhere soon.

We can't wait to ride either. We were coming up New Year's Eve night, but it's still going to be cold until Friday. Bummer.

Won't be too bad during the day add 1 layer but at night -25 is going to be dangerous! Often ridden alone with -5 for high temp during the day.

Worst part of cold weather...... listening to all the people complain how cold it is, as they come in with these skimpy jackets, no hats or gloves.
Yes its cold and can be dangerous,prepare and dress for it!

I had -20 at 6 am this morning, and reached -27 before I got to work at 6:30. Never saw better than -5 on my truck thermometer today. But, I will still take a day like this over a 90 degree day anytime.

Was 31 below in Boulder Junction this morning. If I could post pictures of the dashboard of the p/u truck my son took it would be proof. My Murano would crank a little but no go.
