Hiking/ Sites?

I have a place in St Germain that we(Family) will be going to for a week in August and was thinking of taking a day trip up to Lake In The Clouds as I have only been there by sled. Not opposed to staying over a night either. So my question is is that area the best or is there somewhere else you guys would recommend that we can see some pretty countryside. Kinda wanna "Wow" the family as they have never seen it.

The hike to Mirror Lake is very nice. Start at the look out for LOC and you walk down and across the bridge and then start climbing. Bring water and food, it is a long hike but worth it. If you are a couch potato this is not the route for you, is is nearly 8 miles round trip and very little is flat...
