Historic Day for NICK KELLER!

Nick Keller reached 90,000 miles yesterday afternoon on his Yamaha 2010 Vector GT! Even better, he hit 90,000 right here in our parking lot at Pat's Motorsports and Sno Goer Magazine was here to interview him. I also happen to be in a meeting with my Regional Manager, District Manager, and our Snow Development engineers from Yamaha so they were able to witness it as well. Nick hit 90,000 miles in 316 days of snowmobiling. I referenced the 316 to him and he didn't even realize the significance of the number. When my wife mentioned it to him his eyes welled up. Coincidence? I think not! Nick has raised a lot of money for his cancer foundation helping many people, he's a true hero!! We're all very blessed to see him as much as we do right here in the U.P. He's a special person and we're glad to call him family. What Nick does brings snowmobilers together and that's important to our sport so when you get time give a shout out to Nick and all he does for not only families struggling with cancer but for our sport. It doesn't matter what brand you ride, what matters is your passion for the sport and what it takes to keep it going. When Nick is around people gravitate to him and what he does and at that time I've noticed nobody is looking down to see what their ****s are sitting on! They're only interested in his story and his cause. Now does seeing Nick accomplish so much on his Yamaha brand make me happy? Being a Yamaha dealer since 1989 of course it does! But more often that not it's his cause that catches my attention as so many of us have been impacted by cancer. I'm proud to know Nick Keller but I'm honored to be considered his friend. Thanks for all you do Nick! God Bless you and your family! If you get time please visit Nick Keller's site at www.snowballcancer.org and we do have a pledge sheet right here at Pat's if you wish to donate. You can pledge a one time amount or by the mile. Thanks to all who ride and have helped his cause!!

What an amazing guy is right! Wow, that is something.

We can't overlook that a snowmobile engine is nearing 100k miles, that's quite an accomplishment too!!

Maybe I missed something, but what is the significance of 316?

Think of the Bible.

fusion,

Sorry:( He's riding a sled for those with cancer and for those who have lost loved ones to cancer. He's a hero to me for visiting with my mother while she was sick and for speaking at my mother's funeral when I couldn't get the words out. And to answer your question yes he's a hero like Chris Kyle but they took different paths getting there. Chris Kyle is a hero for serving his country and Nick Keller is a hero for helping save people's lives through cancer research. I'm sorry if I offended you by using the word hero but to me there's many different types of hero's and to me he is a hero and yes Chris Kyle is as well. To say I need a education on the work hero... hmmm, as Patrick Swayze once said, opinions vary and I'm sorry for offending you with my interpretation of the word hero.

Fusion,

there are many types of hero's and for many it is seen in the eye of the beholder. Have you ever looked up the definition of hero? I bet you have not so let me help you out a bit. I'll also highlight the appropoate text:

he·ro

<input type="button" class="au" title="Listen to the pronunciation of hero" style="margin: 0px 10px 4px 4px; border: 0px; cursor: pointer; height: 17px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: bottom; width: 18px; background-image: url(http://www.merriam-webster.com/styles/default/images/reference/audio-pron-hw.gif); background-attachment: initial; background-size: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: 0% 0%; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> noun \ˈhir-(ˌ)ō\: a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities
: a person who is greatly admired
: the chief male character in a story, play, movie, etc.

Full Definition of HERO

1
a : a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descentendowed with great strength or ability
b : an illustrious warrior
c : a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities

You know, you have made quite an impression on this board and that is an achievement of some sort of quality,,,specifically A-HOLE quality. So to all the a-holes in the world (such as yourself) you have earned yourself a A-hole hero award, probably something you have heard many times in your life. So bravo hero boy, go celebrate because you earned it! How you have the nerve to come on a thread such as this and pollute it is beyond a-hole-ness but being the hero you are you stepped it up, congrats!

Lenny dispite the fact your correct. (And I agree with you). You once again broke a major rule. Sad situation. How do the mods deal with this one???.
My question to fusion, "Are you aware that this man is raising money and goodwill towards the fight towards a cure for Cancer? Spending a huge portion of his life for a cause is truly remarkable.

I fully knew that before I posted and am willing to accept what ever come of it. Sometimes a principle takes president and fusion has fallen to a new low. The guy is a low life creep and for him to hear that and possibly examine his actions is well worth me being booted off this site temporarily or for good. I've said it before, I stand for principle and if it means a rule to be broken and I end up suffering, I'm good with that. Years back when you were a tally whacker, many of us jumped your case and now look at you, a responsible member contributing good content. Some times harsh criticism, holding people accountable changes their perspective. One thing I don't do is go looking for opportunities to jump somebody but when the opportunity presents itself I do what I believe is necessary, same with my family and close friends. Sometimes I am on the receiving end of the criticism and deserve it. Hey, if the mods need to address my remarks, that's not a bad thing because you are 100% correct.

Wayne, somethings in life are really really bad and what we all read by fusion is just that, despicable! I'll be the first one to take one for the team because I seriously believe what I said was not a emotional lashing out but rather a "watch it bud"! So like I said, it's worth what even come my way.

you know I love you my brother, I don't even know what a tally whacker is. I worked at Fermi Lab in Batavia Illinois and a guy would always call us temporary employee's that, it was funny.

Now, I don't call my family names but sometimes i want to.

For what it is worth, I tried to edit Lenny's post moments after it was posted and several times during the afternoon/evening after that. I just tried now and the message does not come up in the window to edit. I just chalked it up to a higher power telling me to leave it be.

I also left fusions post up as I figured there was no better consequence for the stupidity of him choosing to voice his opinion like that, than to leave it up for all to see.
