People like Nick and Kip make me proud to own/ride a Yamaha...brand of sled doesn't really matter here..because cancer doesn't care what you ride.....but these are good people, doing great things...and it's to my benefit that they happen to be Yamaha affiliated...like it or lump it...Nick's mileage on that Vector is one heck of a testament to Yamaha reliability and durability, and it is impressive....this is after all a snowmobile site...and we are all ONE BIG snowmobile family....but we all still have our loyalties...and this just makes me MORE YAMAHA PROUD!!!

you know I love you my brother, I don't even know what a tally whacker is. I worked at Fermi Lab in Batavia Illinois and a guy would always call us temporary employee's that, it was funny.

Now, I don't call my family names but sometimes i want to.

On a funny note if anybody is not familiar with the phrase tally whacker rent Porkys. An 80's comedy movie that made that word famous.

That phrase was in common use in some parts of the country before some of the actors in Porky's were even born......you need to get out more ;)

I was 11 when the movie was made so it probably wasn't a matter of getting out but more being to young to hear phrases like that...And i said made the word famous, not that the movie Porky's created the word..... I do get out often but thanks anyways for the tip ;) Anyway back on track with Nick's accomplishments.

I did two tours in the Gulf. I did things, saw things, and heard of things that will never be seen by the media. You *** hats that only get there info off the web, should just go get a comic book. You don't know what was going on then and more importantly ....now. Some Guys I served with are no longer in the military, they are now grossly under payed Feds . These poor Saps protecting the rights of un great full ,free loading Americans. They can't be heroes , because they don't fit your stereo type? Heroes are in line with you at the check out. They are just to proud to tell you who they are or what they did.

When my youngest son got the wind knocked out of him at wrestling camp when he was 7 years old changed my life. The ex wife took him to the ER. I had to drive a hour and a a half from a job site. The x rays and ultra sound results had just came back when I got there. They showed a golf ball size mass growing out of his kidney. It went from a simple ER visit to your kid has cancer. The mass had to be removed but couldn't find a doctor to do it. It came down to two doctors . The one was in Cal,and the other at UO Chicago . After meeting with the chief of surgeons at UOC we new staying close to home was the answer. The guy in Cal hadn't done this surgery on a kid before. The surgery went well, my sons prognoses was great.

My son is now cancer free after years of tests. One day while watching the news a Dr had passed away. There was bad rip currents in Lake Michigan and this doctor kept his family out of the water because it was to dangerous . While sitting there he saw three teens being pulled out by the rip current. He told his wife to call 911 and went in the water to help. The three boys were saved by him,he was pulled out and didn't make it. He was a hero for saving those three boys. In my eyes,he was already a hero. He saved my sons life on the surgery table.

What an amazing guy is right! Wow, that is something.

We can't overlook that a snowmobile engine is nearing 100k miles, that's quite an accomplishment too!!

Think of the Bible.

I thought of a football fan in a weirdasses rainbow wig.

If you weren't concerned with possibly being wrong yourself, you wouldn't keep posting to justify your "heroic" comment. Rationalization is the 2nd strongest human drive.
Thankfully, I am done here. We just disagree, nothing will change that.

so let be get this straight, because you have developed an improper interpretation of the definition of a "hero" and than we provide for you the definition, you still maintain Kip is wrong for seeing NK as a hero, seriously? I'm glad you hold such high regard for soldiers, that's awesome of you. I just wonder why you will not concede on this when the truth is presented to you. Better yet, not even apology for what you said, why did you delete your post?

Pot Stirrer

A person who feels it necessary to try and create more drama in regards to a situation/arguement/debate in which they are an outside observer. Usually by way of a comment or statement.

"So then Becka said she thought she saw David with another girl at the mall but he was really at work, she is such a pot stirrer and really needs to find something to occupy her time."

Good story woodtic and very heartfelt. Couldn't agree with you more... Lenny I think fusion being out tells the story.

I don't know man - posts like these make me and probably others more likely to want to buy a sled from your business (or least remember to pay for our gas next time - just kidding) than if I didn't know anything about you.

I feel the exact same way. I have always like you Kip and your business (since my 1st exhaust donuts went on my attak and he you had me back on the trail in 3 hours time, with a fair price - I still laugh at that day, because your daughter would not let me catch up on sleep while sitting next to the pop machine on the chair - she would kick me in the shin every time I closed my eyes:). At the time she was probably 3-4 years old. Nothing I could do but laugh).

But seeing your emotions come out and what you stand for says we align as people. There are some bad business people out there and can tell you, you are not one of them. I will continue to patronize your business whenever I can.

I guess what fusion is saying it that he is just "stirring the pot". Even if that is true I think fusion still needs to apologize.

I think about what you did, as well as what my brothers son did in the 9th Marines, Afghanistan and Iraq. He did two tours and he's a pretty intense kid now from the stuff he saw and did. One of his good friends got his body all blown to heck from jumping on a grenade and saving fellow Marines around him. You may have heard of him, he got the medal of honor for service with the 2nd battalion, 9th Marines on 6/19/14. His name is Lance Corporal William Kyle Carpenter. Go read his story. I met several of my nephews Marine Corp platoon members at his wedding and I'm proud to say I bought them a couple rounds of drinks and promised they get them for life - as long as I'm around. I rubbed elbows with some real hero's and I was awestruck, humbled and inspired.
