I bought the Briggs this morning. It is 1 1/2 years old with about 1 hour of use, still very much looks like new. I got it for about half the price of a new one, so I think it was a good choice. Now if I can get someone to wire me a transfer switch for that good of a deal we will be ready for what ever Mother Nature throws at us.

Obviously, I am thinking of a different company than Generac. I am referring to whatever the brand is that Fleet Farm and Menards sells. Those are made in China-says so right on them if memory serves. Anywho- great information for those who may want a cabin in middle of nowhere and don't have deep pockets to pay the power company to run to the cabin.
