Hometown Inn at Indian River, Ever stayed there

Planning a trip to Indian River and we need to rent sleds this year and seen where Hometown Inn rents sleds at the hotel. Was just wanting to know if anybody has stayed there and if it is a nice place? And is the rental system nice?

If the sled rental there at hometown inn does not work for you. I would give this place a try. http://www.ir-sc.com/ I have bought things there and they are nice people to deal with.

If that doesn't work out Brentwood Motel rents sleds, also across the street from Brentwood Burt Lake Marina rents sleds, real nice people. They are on fishweb.com under Indian River trail reports.

I had sent an email to the folks at Hometown Inn, I got a very fast and nice reply, only problem is that in order to access the trail system, he said I would have to cross the overpass. We swung through on our way to St. Ignace, and I'm just not sure that I liked that scenario. It would be fine if there was tons of snow, but as of last weekend, It was a long ride on new carbides!
